Cabanas Dress Up the Patio
If you spend lots of time entertaining outdoors and are looking for a new idea for your yard, a cabana is a wonderful idea. Modern design has made them a wonderful addition for any outdoor living space. Cabanas have many elements that make them extremely convenient and sheik when used to decorate a patio.
They are temporary or permanent free standing structures that have drapes or curtains, or even solid walls. These structures, which range from small like 4ft x 4ft dressing rooms to suite-like in sizes up to 40ft x 80ft. They are getting quite popular in California and other sunny states because it affords people the kind of privacy that they need and are looking for. A cabana is not another piece of patio furniture, but an element that can change the entire look of your outdoor living space.
Let’s look at permanent cabanas first. A permanent cabana is mainly an outdoor changing room. It can be built out of any material. You can buy a kit set for a structure that can be as simple or as elaborate as you want. You can even create your own design for a Custom Cabana to enjoy leisure time in.
Cabanas provide an alternative to patio umbrellas, which can be impractical when entertaining a number of guests. With umbrellas, you can only fit a small number of people under them, and usually everyone must be seated around a table to find relief from the shade. With a suite-like cabana, you can set up the furniture in a manner more like an outdoor room. It still provides shade from the sun, and guests are more inclined to spread out and get really comfortable.
Cabanas provide private outdoor space. Pool cabanas are available with canvas coverings, while shed kits often feature cedar or vinyl siding in different colors for the structure’s exterior. Some pool cabana manufacturers offer kits that come with different options for assembly. Many cabanas are equipped with curtains or drapes that can be pulled down when needed. They come in sizes ranging from 8 to 10 feet, which could accommodate any outdoor activity ranging from craft sale, musical performances, even an outdoor masseuse parlor. Whether equipped with screens or curtains, cabanas are a great way to keep out the heat, and any other of natures elements. Perfect for an intimate party of two, a place to gather for a larger group or a safe place for the kids to take a rest. And once they’re up, they’ll stay up.
For a beach setting, cabanas are a great idea. Most cabanas are equipped with windows and vents that allow for beautiful protection and optimal comfort in the outdoors. Cabanas also have pockets and small storage pouches so you can keep everything you need close at hand. In a smaller size, ranging from 6-8 feet, beach cabanas are the perfect size for a few chaise lounges and a table, the perfect setting for a romantic lay on the beach. Simply put a cabana is just a poolside or beachside tent. They come in all shapes and sizes from permanent fixtures to ones that you can fold up and put away once summer is over. It brings up images of tropical sunsets and fruity drinks.
Whatever you choose to use a cabana for, the elegance and practically will leave you impressed, relaxed, and comfortable. Cabanas are made with the finest components, and are easily replaceable, so they are an investment that will last a long time.

We like to convey the traditional feel, so we used wrought iron patio furniture then added color by using outdoor cushions and umbrellas. The iron patio furniture lasts much longer than the woods and changing up the cushions on the chairs allows me to quickly change the feel of my patio in a reasonably inexpensive way.
