The Garden Bench is an Invitation to Relax
There is nothing more welcoming in your garden than some sort of seating that invites your guests to sit down, relax and just enjoy the beauty of your garden. A simple garden bench or two can do exactly that. The bench should not only issue an invitation to your guest to rest awhile, but also offer something to focus one’s attention upon.
A bench placed near a garden fountain for instance, is ideal. Or place a few along a path that winds among flowerbeds that bloom all season. Consider purchasing a gazing globe and/or a birdbath. Bird feeders are another idea as most people enjoy watching our feathered friends play nearby. Last but not least, hang a melodic wind chime in a nearby tree or on a Shepard’s hook for an overall restful effect.
Garden benches are available in all sorts of sizes and materials. Wood, metal, vinyl, and concrete or stone are the most popular materials used. If you decide on a bench made of metal, be aware of the future maintenance involved like having to scrape and paint every year or so. Also beware these are often not very good quality. White vinyl benches are ok providing you store them out of the weather during the wintertime and you’re ok with the flimsy feel sitting on them. Colored vinyl benches tend to fade when placed in a sunny spot of your garden.
The most carefree garden bench is made of unpainted concrete or stone. Yet, as with everything else that spends the majority of its life in the out of doors, even concrete requires some maintenance. In this case, a quick, annual pressure washing may be in order. Another thing to consider with a garden bench made of concrete is its weight. Depending upon the size you choose, it may not be easy to move. With that thought in mind, consider carefully where you place it in your yard as it’s likely to become permanent.
Wood benches can also mean maintenance depending on the type of wood the bench is made out of. Cedar benches especially those made out of Western Red Cedar are very durable and will give you years of enjoyment. While Cedar benches will last for years those made from Teak will last you a lifetime. This is because of the oils in the wood which help repel moisture and insects. Either Cedar or Teak wood if left unfinished will turn a light gray over time but leaving it natural will save you a lot of maintenance yet it will not affect its longevity.
You can find garden benches just about anywhere in the spring and summer. If your pocketbook can only afford a less expensive garden bench, check out the discount and department stores.
No doubt you can find a bench you like for less but don’t expect them to last very long. Your more expensive benches are usually found in garden specialty shops in town or special outdoor furniture stores on the internet.
Quality garden benches add a permanent sense of beauty to your outdoor space and become superb accents among your plants and flowers. Or if you are looking for a great place to sit and read a book, having a great garden bench to sit on while reading that book is the perfect place.

How many pages can be added and pages will be indexed as if the reference to the new directory is not the main page, and a minor? What is the limit of the number of links from the main page? and how many pages are enough to complete the work site? Thanks for understanding!
